This game will definitely give you your money's worth!!
The gameplay is can go from normal to extremely intense, depending on the difficulty that you choose.
The battle system is very dynamic with many other drastic improvement from its predecessors, such as battle gauge, fury gauge, etc.
In addition, the system doesn't stop there, there are plenty of stuff to do in the Star Ocean world, like hilarious private actions, item creation (I'm guessing that Star Ocean is the pioneer inventor of the item creation feature).
Finally, unlike Star Ocean: the Second Story with its voice collection, this game has what is called the Battle Trophy (BT) Collection, that can take tens of hours to collect, but it'll give you a gratifying pat on the back afterwards, as well as some nice costumes for your dear characters.
The musics of the game may not be as supreme as Guilty Gear XX, but still extremely good. Tracks like "Bitter Dance" and "Moonbase" are definitely unique and you probably won't hear something like those in other games.
In fact, you can listen to them in your PS2 once you collected enough BT.
The graphics section... well let's just say that I'm not the only one praising it.
The stories, though I admit might be inspired from another source (so not as cutting edge) and many people don't like the second half of the story, I think it does give a nice twist to a very philosophical idea... So all and all, I like it as well.
So there you go, many nice feature, and at a fairly low price, why not buy it?
