A game that will literally last "till the end of time"
70 may seem like a high level in other games but it's really nothing in here, as the highest is 255. Needless to say, it will probably take an insane amount of time to reach that point.
The battle system is very fun and easy to abuse. Everything happens in real time in the battle screen, so your characters can run around a rather small area freely. There are trophies you can collect throughout the game, like the player controlled character not taking damage from fighting bosses. You can just like your AI controlled party members to beat it up while you run around to avoid getting hit.
The story admittedly is very interesting, although still very cliched (which JRPG isn't?) The biggest frustration for me was the cutscenes. Character motion is very very awkward, and the pace of conversations is very slow. Characters move or gesture according to what they say, but it's timed so that even if you skip the dialogs, there will be a long pause where the game waits for the motions to finish.
Sometimes there is also the lack of clear directions to go. Oftentimes there is a cutscene, and when it's over, without telling you anything, you find that you have gained control again. You have no idea what to do, and have no choice but to run all over the place finding your party members (and other people) and talk to them. Only then, will the story continue. I find that very pointless and it happens way too often for my liking.
Still overall, the game is generally very fun, and a good way to waste time trying to do everything in the game. Trust me it will take a long time.
