Star Ocean is a great game, which suffers with some really bad voice acting, and while most role playing games focus on drama and emotions, Star Ocean doesn't really pull you in, like other RPG's. Other then that, the fighting style is really fresh and original. It's played in realtime, which is really exciting. the AI is very bad at first, but when you upgrade their skills, they get much better. Sometimes the cutscenes can drag on for a long time, though.
I bought it, and thought it was a great game. if your into RPG's, and feel confident to try something different, go for Star Ocean: till the end of time.
