Another Square Enix Game.....Amazing!!

I remeber Squaresoft games. Final Fantasy upto 9. They were my childhood and i always compare RPGs to these. Just to let you know final fantasy 8 stuck to me like glue i even tell my son the story even if he is only 1yr. Anyway Because of these games im not easily impressed but Star Ocean - The Last Hope is great. The Story is your classic "lets save the universe" story which never gets old. The graphics are crisp and colourful and the environments are as realistic as they get with RPG games.
The only problem i had with the games was the fact that as much as i wanted too i could not connect with the characters. For example Final Fantasy games are so immersive that you have an emetional bond with them. I could not get that with this game but make no mistake that is the only flaw.
Sad people who collect and get 100% out of RPGs will love this ( I Do). There is so much to collect, customise, battle trophies, weapons, recipies, skills to unlock. You also have a kind of Poke'dex. For those who arnt sad enough to know this its an electronical book that lists every creature you have encountered and stores info about it and where you found it.
The combat system is a work of art (RTS). there are no random battles. everything you encounter is on the World map ( think Eternal Sonata). Every character has there uses such as harvesting food, minning materials etc
The game is 3 disks long and eventhough it is not FF, square enix have created anouther exclusive masterpiece for 360 and hey it could be worse....you could own a ps3
