Fun old school side scrolling adventure, think Scramble but more in space.
You start the game off at your base (docked between two hexagons). Your goal is to make it through each stage to the aliens home base. Each stage has a varying types of enemies each reacts and flies differently.
1st stage:
You will encounter two alien craft types both moving around the screen firing from a frontal laser.
2nd stage:
You are faced with circular mine layers. little round blue ships that don't fire, but attempt to block your path with mines.
3rd stage:
Here you will encounter hexagonal multicolored aliens that fire from all sides. The move all over the screen, be grateful that there range is limited. Nasty buggers if you ask me..
4th stage:
This stage is filled with diagonally moving asteroids. You won't be able to destroy the asteroids you are only able to navigate them.
5th stage:
This stage is pretty tough, again there are two types of aliens moving pretty fast. One of them will chase you around the screen cloaking and firing and the other cloaks but stays just at the edge at either end of the play field firing at you.
Next stop the Alien Base:
The Alien base is a series of tunnels and then finally what looks like the embedded alien city deep within the caverns.
It would appear that all of the structures are protected by a deflector. If you try to destroy anything it bounces your laser right back at you. In the end there is nothing really to shoot, I found this very odd. You end up at the same type of base you started at. Perhaps it's not an Alien home world after all?? Maybe you are trying to make it home?? Ah the mysteries of neat old games that had no real instructions or storylines to speak of.....
Some neat features of this game are:
Scrolling background that is filled with stars, comets, planets and other astronomical bodies. (given the age of this game it was a polished touch).
After you complete a stage a big green alien flies up and tells you what the next level is called.
