What can be said about Star Ruler other than its one of the best 4x games since Space Empires IV.

Star Ruler is one of the most addictive 4x games to come along since Space Empires IV. From the stylish GUI to the awesome music, Star Ruler has it. From a dynamic tech tree to innovative ship design and UI. I'd have to rate the music of this game above average as it is quite exceptional. The UI is a bit odd to get to get used too at first but with some game time you'll fall in love with it.

While the game has a general unfinished feel to areas of it as there are a lot of reused images, it is still under development with updates coming out regularly. All in all this is an exceptional game. The demo is good fun, but for the best experience, buy the full game. Its money well spent!

One of the more interesting innovations is the ship size option. You can literally make a ship as large as you want so long as you have the resources, and the time, to build it.

The solar systems are a bit bleak in appearance, and the planets look a bit uniform, however, with future updates these lower priority visuals will be improved.

Again this is an outstanding 4x game. The best fun I have had in years.
