Well this game looked like a good strategy turn base game, but it is not just a turn base you can control the ships your self in combat. This is important to people who want a good The Next Generation game (or TNG for short) that still wants action and controlling the enterprise D, or pretty much every other ship from the show, enemies to. When you play this game and you know allot about turn based or strategy games, start on medium with one opponent. If you are not start on easy with one opponent. Ether way you will find yourself easily dominating your star system. Although, when you do even easy and two opponents, you will probably go down very easily, I have only come close. This is because you are always put in the middle of the map, this makes you venerable for opponents closing in on you but you get space to go out in three directions above left and rite. But after awhile of playing you will find that there is a strategy to this game. You will see earning money is easy when you play as the federation, this is the trade off for being in the middle of the map. As Klingons are in the show they are ruthless and they will be in the game, so you shouldn't start out with them unless you want a challenge.
If you want to start simple you should try tackling the Romulan, they still have a little challenge so they stay fresh. Game play is extremely satisfying and will leave you hungry to conquer more and have you feeling like a starship captain. The music helps this feeling when you complete or are in the middle of a battle, it surprised me of how good it was.
So the bottom line hear is that the game is perfect for TNG fans and strategy lovers, and maybe even some space combat lovers. The bad part about this game is that when you are on easy with 2 opponents it fells as though the difficulty jumps, but you will get the hang of it. This game has grate replay value and will have you coming back for more.
