Star Trek, whatever..it blows.
I'm not saying anything about the graphics. I kinda like the vector lines. That is..when there is something to look at. I have spent many hours playing this game just searching through blank space, only to run across an ocassional Klingon or Romulon ship or a refueling station. Thats it, and that seems to be all there is. You destroy a couple of enemies. You refuel at the refueling station, which you can destroy also. Then you are to look for a space jump or hyper space or whatever it is to go on. It is incredibly frustrating, because most of the time you are just whizzing around looking for something..anything. If you pass the refueling station or porthole to the next level, you couldn't really chase after it. It would disappear and hopefully it would reappear before you ran out of fuel. Very Frustrating. Or if you destroyed the refuelling station, you've done yourself in.
Also if you do not have the Vectrex screen inlay, it makes it even more frustrating. Part of the inlay acts as a traget reference. If you don't have it then it makes it a bit tougher.
I can't help but hang onto the game. It is one of only a few games out there for the Vectrex, and it does have a big name on it: Star Trek.
