Star Trek: Birth of the Federation is a very good strategy game for the PC. If your a Star Trek fan and a strategy game fan you will love this game immensely. It has a great database of planets, races, and ships for its time. The graphics are not what make this game its mostly the strategy. Except some technical problems such as slowdowns, which the game glitches, this game will have you playing for hours on end.

In this game you play five races: Humans, Klingons, Romulans, Cardassians, and the Ferengis.

Your goal is to conquer the Beta Quadrant for your own. Doing this you could include minor races in the mix. You could either diplomatically obtain their friendship or be like a Klingon and conquer their home world. You could make alliances with major powers or you could stand alone and squash all your rivals.

This game has a lot of replay value because of the different endings and scenarios you can chose from. You could even play multiplayer if you can find someone with another copy of this game.

In the end this game is an awesome game for its time. It will keep you busy into the wee hours of the morning blowing up the Romulan fleet as well as a Borg cube. I recommend it!
