Star Wars Battlefront is a Battlefield 1942 type of game set in the Star Wars universe. It lets you fight all the famous ground battles of the movies, and even gives you a seek peek at the new planet in the upcoming movie Star Wars Episode 3 The Revenge of the Sith. As a fan of Battlefield 1943 I love this game, but I am not going to rate it on that, i will rate it on quality. The game puts you in the diffrent Star Wars battles and lets you fight them out. These battles are huge, with around 64 bots fighting along side of you. Each diffrent enviromnet is big and rich with detail. There are around 20 of them to fight in so the variaty is nice. The graphics are what shines about this game, the framerate stays increadably smooth when you have all the bots on screen shooting at one and another, ecpecially for the ps2. But the graphics are a little blurry, but after sitting in front of a tv and a computer for many years, everything is a little blurry. The sound is rich and authentic, every sound in the game was from the movies. Every vehical sounds like they should, and every gun is uniqe in its own way. But the biggest letdown for this game is the online mode. For being such an online game it really fails there. With no friends lists, clans, or other important parts of the online experiance, this game falls short there. The lag is horrible because of so many bots, and there is an open mic so everybody can hear you, whenever you say a thing. The biggest problem is the overpowered vehicals. If you are a pilot and are in a vehical, you are death. Nobody can stop you. You will rake up kills so fast you might actually feel sorry for the other people playing. If you can get by these problems, this game is what the Star Wars franchise was calling for. If you are a starwars fan, get this game, if you are not, rent it and see if you would like it.
