A nice Star wars shooter

User Rating: 8.2 | Star Wars: Battlefront PS2
Star Wars:Battlefront, was my 2nd star wars games, the first being Dark Forces. It took me awhile to get used to the controls, but once i did, i had a lot of fun playing with my friends. The single campaign isn't too bad, you can pick a side during different Era's. You can be in the Era during Rebels vs Imperials, or the clone troopers vs droids. The campaign starts you out during whatever era you choose, and progresses story wise from there. The sides are pretty much balanced, so you can choose whatever side you want. Except for Droidekas... I HATE THEM.

-Gameplay- 8.5/10
The gameplay is pretty fun, although the single player campaign does get repetitive at times. The multiplayer is where it is at. Up to 16 players online, and you can play with your friends as well, if you dont have a internet adapter. Multiplayer games are always fun, because, well they are. The vehicles are amazing, and theres a variety of them as well. There are even X-wings and Tie fighters, although the levels where you get them, theres not very much space to dog fight. To capture a command post is pretty basic. Just kill the enemies around said command post and stay near it till you control it. The more allies you have near you, the faster the bar fills up so you can control it. The maps are pretty fun as well, from Tantooine to Endor. Each map has its advantages and disadvantages it seems, like the one place high up in the sky(i was never good at remembering the planets) and you can fall off the edge, or what i do: Blow people off with my rocket launcher. I forgot about the guns. Blaster rifles, grenades, mines, rocket launcher, blaster cannons, bow caster, and sniper rifles just to name a few. But of course, only certain units can get certain weapons. For example, the wookiee smuggler, has the Bowcaster(crossbow type gun), grenade launcher, and time bombs. I give the gameplay a 8.5/10 because while the single player does lack, the multiplayer makes up for it.

-Sound- 7.5/10 Nothing really much to say about sound, except for the laser sounds and the boom. The audio is pretty decent, like when you shoot a blaster pistol it goes "Pew Pew" and a when a rocket or some other object that explodes, goes "Boom". Theres some voice acting, but not much. Theres the "Right away sir!" and the "im under fire!". the audio/sound is pretty decent, but could be better, so i give it a 7.5.

-Graphics- 8/10
Pretty decent graphics as well. the soldiers and landscapes are pretty well done, same with the vehicles. i havent seen any glitches or bad collision detection at work, besides maybe when your dead and your gun goes into the ground. 8/10 i give the graphics.

-Value- 9/10
Its a pretty good game overall, if your a star wars fan, or a shooter fan in general you should get this game. I recommend it! if you dont trust my recommendations, just rent it and try for youself.
