Many improvements over the first Battlefront make this a must have for Star Wars fans and war game lovers alike!

This game offers lots for the Star Wars fan out there, as well as rating levels for performing different tasks within one life during the game. The single player aspect can be played through pretty quickly, especially if you have played through some other FPSs, but is really enjoyable since it is told through the eyes of one of a 501st trooper. I personally like the perspective the trooper brings to the happenings from before Episode III to the beginning of Episode V. Shooting is made easier with the aim assist to help you keep a bead on the erratic movements of the AI troops. I have tried shooting AI troops without aim assist and it is VERY CHALLENGING! Locking onto a target is also a nice feature, thus allowing the aim assist to help you and keeping an idea of where the enemy is when he moves behind you. Another excellent aspect of the game are the different medals you earn as you play through the various gameplay opportunities found in BF2. When you 60 or so medals in each area, you gain the bonus of that medal permanently. Some medals, like Endurance and Guardian can be garnered easily, while Regulator or Demolition require more skill and patience. The addition of the Space Battle gives this game a whole new dimension to enjoy. There are a wide variety of fighters to choose from and the controls for said fighters are easy to use, once you get a handle on them. Now, all of the TIE Fighter fans go out and start taking down Capital ships or destroying enemy star fighters. Finally, another great addition to this game is playing as a hero during the game. Who would not want to play as Yoda, Obi Wan or Anakin? The characters are quite powerful on the normal difficultly, cutting a swath of destruction through the enemy forces. Want to play as a hero all the time, try out Mos Eisley in Instant Action. Choose your side and choose your hero!

As far as multiplayer go, I play quite a bit of split-screen with my brother-in-law and it is always a great time. The only difficulty I have is trying to look at the radar when it is half of its normal size. The online experience though does come across quite laggy so I rarely go online with it.

The Galactic Conquest mode has been modified to come across like a giant game board with planets being the objects of your hawkish ways. I like how you have to earn credits to earn different troops, supplies and bonuses, rather than give you the whole enchilada and let you run amok. This gameplay mode let's you fight out battles against the computer, or a friend (now enemy), on a variety of different worlds you did not experience in the single player story mode.

All in all, the game is great fun with lots of replay value for me in trying to earn legendary status in all of the medals. Also, turning the AI difficultly up to Elite will have to dodging, rolling and looking for medical driods more than you'll ever want to admit.
