Star Wars: Battlefront II is a great game and should be cherished by any Star Wars fan.
There 3 main types of games you can play. Instant action which puts you right into the battles all over the starwars universe. Rise of the Empire is a story type mode that follows a day in the life of a 501 troop over a 20 year time span over and it also tells about the Emperors rise to power. Then there is Galactic Conquest which is more of a stratigic type of thing.
The graphics are about as good as the original Battlefront. There are a few bugs, though. The AI is a bit slow. Occasionally they just stand right infront of you and do nothing. Not a big deal though.
Two brand new, and quite spectacular features added to the sequal is the new Space Battle feature and the ability to play as a famous Hero character. Space battles are great! You can get a ship, gun down enemy ships, destroy meteors and stuff, INVADE the opposing enemy's hanger and whipe them out. Playing as a Hero is pretty awesome, too. Theres alot to choose from. Some are good to play with, some are just downright sucky like Leia and Han. I don't like to play with them. Basicly theres a point in a level when you can choose to play as a specific Hero during battle. You have a lightsaber health meter that depleats if you don't kill or if you get damaged. Obiously you're gonna have force powers. The Heros are divided of course by Light and Dark side.
Overall, Battlefront II is a spectacular game by all means. If you havent played the first one, this is a good place to start. If you've played and/or the first game, get this game. 8.1 was NOT the score to give this game.
