Star Wars Battlefront 2 is the sequel to the 3rd Person/1st person star wars based shooter game in which the player choses between siding with the good side or the dark side of the force. Different gameplay depends on which force you are playing as, much like the story is different for both good and bad. GAMEPLAY
The gameplay for SW:BF2 is fun as it is a shooter game in which you can conquer the oposition in hails of bullets reaching across the whole battlefield in which you play. The depth to the gameplay in this game leaves you with an impression like you have actually changed something in the Star Wars universe and that you have completed an important chapter in that sides future and benefited that side in some way.
CONTROLS
The controls in this game are very convinent with the traditional right trigger/button to shoot. The controls variey in this game, one second you are crouching in a bunker waiting for the enemy next thing you know your blasting away at a Storm Trooper or a Rebel Alliance member it really doesnt matter. The controls in this game are tradional shooter game controls that we would all recognize from games such as Halo or Call of Duty or Unreal Tournament.
GRAPHICS
The graphics in this game are quite fine nothing quite like a million bucks but good enough that you understand where you are in the game and that you known your sorroundings. Although the graphics in this game are relativley normal for a PS2 game the display features that occur in this game such as the explosions of Imperial tanks blasting or bunkers being blown up gives you an extra feel into what the depth of the graphics of this game involves.
STORY
Well chances are you probery have seen a Star Wars movie in your life so you already know the story. For SW:BF2 the story goes through the eyes of a Clone Commander and his tales of the ending of the clone wars and the beginning of the Empire's reign over the republic. Although this is the only main story through the game its detail into what is going on in the game is immeasuable in terms of infomation and into the thoughts of how a clone commander would feel if in their situation.
EXTRAS
No real extras are with this game besides for the capability of Net Play which makes the game a tad bit more exciting. The fact that you can replay any mission you like in the Instand Action mode is really quite something seeing as though you can chose from any character you previously played in that level. So honestley there are not many extras to be found in this game although it doesnt need any really with the Instant Action and the Galactic Conquest modes should keep you busy.
CONCLUSION
All in all this is a great game for star wars fans and will make them feel right at home with levels and areas/backdrops they will recognize, even new players will be able to understand this game and better yet it will eb more exciting for them to discover different levels and enjoy the legend that is Star Wars.
