Great game . . . but the first game had more of a Star Wars feeling to it.

I love Star Wars. I admit to being a nerd and I really don't care what people think of me. I love SW so much that I have the Imperial March, Rebellion theme, and original theme on my MP3 player. Well, I have been dying to rent this game and when I finally did, I thought it was truly amazing. The problem was was that the voice acting was a bit off and I was disappointed with Han Solo and how much his character sucked. The voice actor for him isn't even Harrison Ford, for heaven's sake. The Jedi and Sith are fun to play as but I really didn't like Darth Vader. He walked way too casual and attacked casual, as if nothing is happening and he is the big man on the battlefield. I liked Anakin though, he may have walked casual like Darth Vader but he was vicious when he attacked. The story mode is fun if you really want a challenge. The Instant Action mode is fun, but it was a small flaw that Darth Maul was the only playable Sith on Mustafar and not Anakin. I also thought it sucked that you couldn't kill Jedi on Coruscant, only in story mode. The space battles are the BEST! Bombing ships, dogfighting, sabotaging enemy command ships really made this game work. The only Jedi that I thought sucked was Mace Windu, just because he was slow when he attacked, but the most brutal of the Hero character is General Grievous with his four lightsabers-of-doom. A relief in the game was that Droidekas aren't nearly unbeatable when it comes to a player playing at the Republic like in the first game. The graphics improved, not a lot, but they did. The sound effects are fantastic and the music is a trip-down-memory-lane. Yet, through all these improvements and slight flaws, I didn't feel in the Star Wars galaxy like I did in the first game. No matter how many Wookiees, Geonosians, or Stormtroopers I fought, I couldn't grab the Star Wars spirit from this game. It may have been the fact that Darth Maul is on Mustafar, playing as a Clone trooper on Dagobah, or Han Solo on Kamino that threw off the Star Wars spirit. That is the only true flaw though. I would recommend this game to Star Wars fans, but I wouldn't say that it's the greatest Star Wars game ever. Let's just say that the Force isn't strong with this game as it was with the first.
