Somehow, Lucasarts actually pumped out another great FPS, with a multiplayer that can stay good for hundreds of hours.
The single player is very good, both the main story and Galactic Conquest, but if you're any good at FPSs, the single player won't hold the game. I undoubtedly only suggest this game if you can play online, because that's where it gets good.
There are 4 main classes of troopers: Regular troopers with normal automatic rifles, Engineers with shotguns, Rocket troopers, and Snipers. Then, each faction has two unique classes. The Clone and CIS unique troopers are pretty bad, and makes playing for them more annoying. The Galactic Civil War sides are awesome, though. In some ways it is unbalanced, as Rebels are a little better on most maps because they have Wookiees, but that's pretty much all that takes away from the gameplay.
The maps are interesting, there are plenty of laggy, really bad ones like Felucia, Endor, or Yavin, but there are so many good ones, like Tantive IV, Mustafar, Coruscant, or Kamino.
The other addition is space. Space can be really fun, and it's a great new angle to the franchise, but I don't like it nearly as much as the normal Conquest. Some people only love Space, though, so it's hard to say. The ships are excellent, but it just might not be what you expect.
Other than that, there's not much to say. Online is where it shines, and of course it doesn't get old because you always have new opponents and so much to learn about tactics, what works best against what, and it is probably best in a clan playing tournaments...but that's just what I do.
It's no Halo...but if you're a Star Wars and FPS fan, you won't likely be disappointed.
