Although it lacks the gimmick free power of its predecessor, the great battle front formula makes the sequel worth it
Although the are plenty of new good things here; Space battles, playable jedi, and new unlockable weapons are all welcome. But somehow with all the new flash and glitter it just lacks the power of its predecessor. Everything on the battles seems so fragile. While in the 1st bf if an AT-AT was movin in on you, you dipped. gathered some vanguards, and start a war. While in this one you can basically take down anything with a few critical grenade throws.
Perhaps the biggest dissapointment(and ironically bf1s greatest strength) is its map selection. The loss of epic fields like Cloud City and The Harbor are badly missed especially when playing barely competent maps like felucia and tantative IV. Even updates of previous bf1 maps like Hoth and Geonosis dont stack up well with the originals. Howevr... Some new maps to rival bf1s: The Jedi Temple and Jabba The Hutts palace are great new entries.
Overall. Bf2 is a good sequal that fans of the original should play even if you dont play it nearly as much as the first. All is almost well.
