This game is a blast! They have to do a new version of this for the new consoles!
The basic premise of Demolition was a vehicular combat game in the Star Wars universe. It was a bit kooky, yeah, but a lot of fun. I mean, who wouldn't want to hop on a speeder bike and go head to head with a battle tank, an ATST and Darth Maul on his own bike. Just fun stuff!
As for the graphic and sound, for the DreamCast technology, they were both very good. The graphics were solid, clean and detailed for what the console could handle. The vehicles were well done and looked like you would expect. The effects were also nicely done and made the game feel as real as it could at the time.
The gameplay was smooth for the most part. There are some hic-cups in movements and such. But nothing that killed the game. I think my only complaint was how lopsided some of the vehicles were. There were some characters that were nearly unbeatable. But, it was still fine.
If you've still got a DreamCast and can find Demolition, get it. It's worth it. Hopefully we'll see something similar in years to come.
