Ultimate Jedi Experience . . . WRONG!
User Rating: 5.8 | Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith PS2
I have never thought Star Wars would do this. First off, the creators of this game taunt with you with awesome trailers and the promise of the 'ultimate Jedi experience'. Well, when I finally rented this game, I was immediately disappointed. You play as Anakin or Obi-Wan as you fight off Droids, Clone Troopers, and other enemies. The game came out before the movie and it killed a lot of moments in the game. First off, the light saber controls seem a tad off and you'll become really frustrated when a freakin' buffed out Droid in BLOCKING your attack. The boss fight against General Grievous is cheap in every difficulty. All of his attacks hit you, regardless of you blocking, and your attacks are never hits. When I able to beat the game, which only took me one night to do, you unlock special levels, like the showdown between Darth Vader and Obi Wan from A New Hope, but they aren't at all amusing. The enemy designs are decent, but the voice acting is terrible. The ending showdown ends with a pathetic display by the corny voice acting. The music is good, but the sound effects aren't any good.
