Great way to burn though your free time
The game's graphics are pretty average but what really pulls you in is the game play. After a few skirmishes you'll find yourself wanting to see more of that laser blasting action from hordes of troops, fighters, ships and mechs clashing against each other.
You can create your own scenarios and maps so you won't be bored that easily. Further more the AI is also quite capable, using various taunts will affect their behavior. If you have an allied AI in a skirmish a simple amount of taunting will make your life a whole lot easier. He can send you free food just by taunting him to give you food though it doesn't always work. This kind of AI really isn't all that special today but RTS Computer AI's were pretty non-interactive back then when this game was first released
The game requires a lot of micromanagement, but it still manages to deliver a lot of fun. You'll spend hours and hours on this one, though you might want to stop and give yourself a break from time to time as all that micromanagement is bound to give you a headache or two. Overall this is one game that will truly keep you coming back for more.
