SOE and LucasArts finest venture yet.....NOT
As of 15Nov2005, SWG has become the laughing stock of all MMORPG's on the market. With the release of the NGE (New Game Enhancements), the corporate entities which oversee production have completely overlooked all suggestions submitted, by the players, to improve the overall gameplay of SWG.
SWG:NGE is extremely diffcult to play now. Targeting is null. Button mashing is the norm so if you have a spare mouse or two that you would like to break...this is definately the game for you. There is no thought process for this once spectacular attempt at MMORPG. The game has been "dumbed" down to the point that a chimpanzee could play it blindfolded with hands tied behind it's back. The UI is atrocious. Very cumbersome with a steep learning curve. The lag issues kill any attempt to try combat. The professions have been slashed from 32 to 9 in attempts to get more people fighting and less sitting around and chatting. The main staple profession, Jedi, is now readily available to anyone that wants it. It is not something that you earn anymore. You gain no satisfaction or sense of accomplishment by "unlocking" your Jedi. Just spend $30 and its yours when you install.
Overall SOE/LA has completely destroyed the game. Their customer service, lack of customer care, continual hotfixing and changing of the game make it extremely difficult to enjoy what should be a blockbuster of a game. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND HARD EARNED MONEY!!!!
