i've been a galaxies player from precu >cu > nge. first off they basically change this game every 6 months in the search for new money. make you buy expansions then change the system so that the expansion and anything you have worked for is useless. gameplay sucks, blasters shoot through walls they made a very wrong move changing 32 professions to 9 without added skills so you get to choose a linear path in whatever career you choose so you can be a clone of everyone else that chose that profession. the lag in this game is horrible because of the outdated engine and the server maintainence. no amount of ram, better cpu nothing can fix this. the graphics in this game suck (its a 3 year old game) because you have to turn everything down to the absolute minimum because of the lag. Also the swg outdated engine can't keep up to this new style of rapid gameplay. this game has no lasting value they change the system so often everything you have achieved means nothing, credits weapons, armor, millions of dollars of your in game money and blood sweat and tears gone. the customer service i horrible. there are still bugs with this game that have been there since launch, like tailoring factories not making clothes the right color and such and have never been fixed oh but we have been promised since day 1 they would fix the bugs. this game atm is very broken and not fit for release, it's a unbalance, seriously buggy, laggy game that plays like a alpha release. SOE just hopes they can make more money off of the star wars license. lastly soe doesn't care about this game only your money, so they can sell you expansions and keep you paying your monthly fee without fixing the bugs. so don't buy it! SAVE YOUR MONEY! go play battlefront II or kotor II if your itching for the star wars experience.
