Sad but True
The most recent 'Enhancements' to the game have all but destroyed what the game used to be to long time subscribers. Change is inevitable in MMORPGs, classes are tweaked, items are 'Nerfed' or 'Buffed' , so on and so forth. This alteration of Star Wars Galaxies is -beyond- the concept of change. It is a complete makeover that happens to keep the same character and world appearance.
SW:G is no long a game recognized by many of the older players.
For a review of the new system, It seems difficult to handle, clunky at times. Melee seems to be at an obvious disadvantage over ranged. The Jedi are rampant, practically crawling out of the wood work. Long time community has fallen into a very toxic manner toward new players.
The straight review is this game is that it has officially flopped.
I apologize to the people who have put years into this game. I really wished there was something we could do.
To new players to the game, I wish you well. You may actually enjoy the new system if you are fresh to it.
Here is my warning to everyone though.
"The past has proven that this is not a game to dedicate large amounts of time to. Do not invest your blood, sweat, and tears into this game. You may find that your years of dedication and hard work may all be for nothing when you realize you are no longer the target community that the company wants."
