Imperfect..but with potential

I like how MMO gamers largely resemble little old women in their blind flamings and prejiduces. I can understand that if someone worked since the game's launch to be Uber, and then suddenly had their character made less uber in relation to a complete gameplay overhaul, that one may be more than a little pissed. But you also need to look at it from the perspective of someone who is new to the game itself. I had always considered buying SWG but hadn't due to my convivction that most games aren't worth the 50 bucks they cost upon release, and there are no games worth paying a monthly fee. Another intimidating factor was the apprehension at paying to join an unfriendly, griefing community like the ones i've found in anarchy online and ultima. Plus, I am not a virgin, i got to school, and i work, so i had little time to dedicate to the "grind" associated with most MMORPGs, if any at all. So upon hearing about the NGE and the free trial, i willingly submitted myself to SOE consumer trap, and I am not totally disappointed. There are flaws, ALOT of flaws, but the instant i started in the tutorial i found that clicking and shooting crates with a blaster to be rather satisfying. Now i play Guild Wars constantly at the moment as well, and some aspects of the NGE remind me of what makes Guild Wars so addictive, that its actually FUN to kill things. Now as far as having Jedi as an initial class selection is odd, i should think that with the new style of gameplay, personal skill and strategy will matter a bit more than before at the higher levels. so Goodbye uber jedi, and good riddance as far as im concerned. Im sorry you guys got all your **** changed, that sucks and i would be angry as well, but unfortunately i represent the other side, and think from a first impression that this game will only get better from here
