A faster paced, better balanced, more interesting approach to letting players explore the Star Wars Universe.
However, my joy over the game soon faded when I realized exactly how much time I needed to devote to it in order to enjoy the true experience the game offered. Honestly, I found getting a foothold in a galaxy far, far away was a very time consuming experience. Slowly, I mean very slowly, I leveled up my character, but he was still weak, especially since despite how many quests I had completed, I could not afford to equip my character with high grade weaponry, and soon found myself at a huge disadvantage.
I know everyone will probably think that I just needed patience, and time, but honestly, I find that the only way to have advanced in the original game was to spend hour upon hour, upon hour, upon playing the game, and I have a life, and no game is worth that much time no matter what its rating is.
What Sony Entertainment has done is created a faster paced game, allowing players to quickly: a) develop a relatively decent character in a shorter span of time, and b) immerse new players into a Star Wars driven storyline at the get go to maximize enjoyment at the lower levels, giving new players a base to start their own adventures. I created a new character when the starting kit first was available for download, and already my character is stronger than the one I created in August.
I support Sony Entertainments changes to the new game. As a busy college student with not a lot of time to spare, I find the new game experience to allow Star Wars fans who do not have the time to devote their lives to a MMORPG the chance to have their own fun and adventure in the Star Wars Universe.
