Classic action/adventure game with great level design and excellent combat.
BAD: Cliched story; bad graphics (even for its day)
Excellent game! This game was released in 1997 and is still extremely fun. The gamplay is excellent, even revolutionary for its day in age. Although the graphics suck, even for 1997, everything else about the game is awesome. The sound is excellent, even for today, although the voice acting is terrible. The game is just plain fun to play.
The best part of the game, however, is the excellent single player campaign. Although the AI isn't very good (look, it's 1997), and the voice acting is terrible, the levels are immersive, realistic, clever, and just plain BIG. Even for today the levels are huge and clever. You just don't get a great mix of combat and puzzle-solving like this anymore. It is beginning to show its age, however. Besides the graphics, such simple, automatic things like shooting someone in the head don't give benefits anymore (shooting someone in the head is the same as shooting someone in the foot...yes, it's that old). This is a genre that has died with the passing of time. The game is a classic, and anybody who likes old-school shooter/puzzle games and haven't tried this out should definitely give it a try. You could probably buy it for $10 bucks or less now.
