The original KOTOR was fantastic in almost every way. KOTOR 2 delivers on the same level but it just wasn't as fun this time. I felt like I was playing the same game again. Don't get me wrong, KOTOR 2 is a fantastic game and for those who never played the original it will probably be a mind blowing experience. Everything was done right and that leaves me baffled as to why I just wasn't feeling it with this game. I suppose I expected a bit more innovation on the creator's behalf. I was looking for new special abilities (and there were a couple), a new plot, and a new perspective. What I got was KOTOR in a new package with some new faces but that was all. It was relatively unchanged and because the original did so well it probably wasn't a bad idea. But once again, so much was the same that I felt like I was playing a repackaged KOTOR. If you haven't played the original pick this up for sure. As far as RPG's go it is one of the best on the market. For those who have played the original, save your money and rent this one. You'll probably be bored inside of five hours. Better yet, go buy any one of the Final Fantasy games; they've never let me down.
