My first game ever. Not the most entertaining game but still it gives a short pleasure.

To put it short: Like that vector-game from seventies, with more graphic and substance. Doesn't last very long but it still keeps you busy if you don't think of anything else you could do. "Story"line is a non-canonical soup of events from A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. Strangely Echo base attack and Battle of Yavin have switched places.

Game is very difficult without joystick. Mouse is too loose and keyboard doesn't have enough directions. Since only direction of shooting is adjustable and player can't control the craft itself, it isn't as enjoyable as X-wing series or the arcade Star Wars flight games.

Sounds are adequate and the music is real star wars music and not that pseudo midilike as heard in Rogue Squadron.

Even though it's not a really playable anymore atleast it is a nice collectible along with Dark Forces and LucasArts Point'n'Clicks.
