Republic Commando is an on-rails squad-based first person shooter that play in the Star Wars universe. For the first time ever, you can play as an elite clone commando. That surely packs a punch. Republic Commando (hereafter called simply RC) lets the player in the Clone War, known of Episode II and III. The single player campaign is pretty solid but is way too short. The squad commands are pretty basic, but are very intuitive. You can press the A button at a highlighted bench, corridor or pile of junk to let a commando take that position. It's good and you won't need to take long to instruct a commando. The A.I. of the enemies is also solid in RC. You won't see a enemy do stupid things, they always first seek cover and backup eachother. However, the A.I. doesn't change on different difficulty levels. At least, I didn't noticed.
This game can bring the war to a good end, however, if you watch Brothers in Arms and other squad-based first-person shooters, you get the feeling that some things could have been just a little better. But i think this is a really good game to play and you won't regret it if you buy this one!
The Force is strong with this one!
