though short and easy, it's worth playing for the gameplay.

Many people, including gamespot reviewers, bash this game endlessly, yet I think they are being too harsh with it.

The gameplay is great. Starkiller now has two lightsabers. The mechanics pretty much operate like the previous game, with all the same powers etc. There are quite a bit of combos and as you go along you gain points to spend in upgrading your powers, attacks, combos. Fighting has definitely been improved from TFU 1 and it feels much smoother.

The graphics have also been vastly improved, and you'll soon appreciate all the little details that have been put into the levels. A star wars fan will quickly recognize all the familiar sounds and music that also play, and they're superb. Just like the first game, there are numerous costumes and lightsaber crystals - which all have different effects. Though I really like the latter improvement, most of the costumes I thought were dull and I never used them.

A new feature in TFU 2 is the feature of challenges. Assuming you didn't pre-order or anything like that, there are a total of 10 which you unlock as you play the main story. Some challenges are pretty easy and some are pretty hard, though it didn't take me long to get golds and platinums on all of them. They are pretty varied and a good fun. Rewards include experience, lightsaber crystals, costumes and extra cutscenes.

Now onto the gripes.

Firstly, the main story is pretty shabby. I didn't really like the first game's story but this is very bad. It's dull and nothing really happens. You don't feel like you want to keep playing to find out what happens next. It's predictable and quite similar to the first one's. The whole business with you playing as starkiller's clone is already a push and it isn't saved by a weak and uninteresting plot.
It's also really short, and I mean REALLY short. You'll start it and it'll finish before you know it. Though the levels are nicely detailed and constructed, there ain't many of them.

The story would seem longer if it was at least hard, but I found that this was nothing compared to the original's difficulty. This is mainly because you can play on harder difficulties within the same profile. So you can play on Unleashed (hardest difficulty) whilst fully maxed out with force powers etc. whereas in the previous TFU you had to start a new game so playing on SIth Master completely fresh was quite a challenge. Your health drains quite fast, but it's still quite easy to complete.

Not much has changed from the first game. Aside from graphics and a more detailed gameplay experience, it's almost like you're playing the first game's DLC. Even the story characters are the same.

Lastly, I'm not sure if this would apply to everybody, but my brand new copy of TFU 2 (which I bought on the first day) glitched A LOT. This includes 'disk read errors' and various glitches in-game, and it can't be my xbox as all my other games run fine. In the end, it took me ages to install it fully onto my HDD, but there you go.

Though filled with a weak, short story, TFU 2 still manages to deliver great gameplay. This game is a must buy if you're a star wars fan, but perhaps a rent if you're not. Whilst quite similar to its predecessor, it improves on alot, namely the combat, though you may say that it falls short of a lot of people's expectations.
