A good Star Wars game that delivers on many levels yet some small flaws hold it back.

All in all this is a fun Star Wars game. There are some great ideas implemented in this game such as the ability to customize your lightsaber. This function in of itself makes the game worth it to me, no other Star Wars game lets you dissect the lightsaber in this way, allowing the player to switch between not only several different colors but also focus crystals that give your blade different powers. Ingenious. The use of force powers is fun and easy to switch between and the strength at which you use them is truthfully a bit overboard compared to the movies. Most people seem to think that they weren't powerful enough but honestly when was the last time you saw a Jedi pull a Star Destroyer out of the sky? Even Anakin couldn't touch that. My biggest problem with the game is that the camera tends to flip around on you in battle for no apparent reason and it can be tricky to control with the analog stick on occasion as well. Next would be the targeting system, it works fine for boss fights and one-on-one fights but when it comes to targeting objects with the force it doesn't always target the one you want. And if your running around the camera tends to follow the object that you arbitrarily targeted with the force rather then the enemy thats shooting or swinging at you from behind. The amount of collectibles and unlockables is rather large for an action game which is nice. The game takes about 6-7 hours to beat but if you're a completist like me then it will take you much longer to get everything. When everything is said and done its not all that bad of a game, in fact its pretty darn good. But if you bought in to the hype that was going around before this game came out I can see why you were disappointed and why it was rated so low by GameSpot and gamers alike. But if you come in to just have some good old Star Wars lightsaber hack and slash fun, then by all means play this game.
