Many glitches riddle the game and take away from it being a masterpiece, though their promise of these being fixed.

Like many MMO's when they come out, this game is not totally put together. Their are a lot of obvious holes(like not being able to leave a guild because they forgot to write that script) and the smaller, less obvious ones(like joining a battleground and being kicked as a deserter because the game took to long to load), but the good part about it is that this game is enormously innovative. reforming the genre of MMO and their are near-daily patches released to try and fix many of these problems. The game is often compared to wow, and a few other MMO's, because it follows the same basic logic. You have a few action bars, you move around, hitting the buttons you set up on the action bars to use your abilities and kill everyone. It cherry picked many of the best things from other MMO's, like a que for pvp battlegrounds and guilds and such.

The pvp is a bit awkward. At the moment(though this is sure to change) all levels, 10-50, are put into the same bracket and fight together. Though the stats are increased so they'd equal your level 50 counterparts, the armor is not. Nor do you have higher level abilities so it is still greatly skewed towards level 50's and until you get there, it's not very exciting. Plus, the entire game is turn based. So it can get annoying hitting your ability to attack someone and nothing happening because they're using something. Plus if your a sword user facing a sword user the turns are prolonged so both can block the others attacks, while ranged users are not prolonged giving them an advantage. Though the games are quite fun, like hutt ball feels like an actual sport at times. Though often that means the team that doesn't know how to play the sport will lose, rather then he who is strongest. The pvp in this game needs improvement, though because it's an MMO, and constantly updated, I'm sure it will receeve it.

The game handles travel awkwardly, their are not many places in which you'd have to travel fast since the time between objectives is small and enemies frequent between, but it is still annoying that you have to wait until level 25 to get a mount to go 90% faster, and it's even more annoying that when you finally get to level 50 and complete the game, the final mount only makes you 100% faster, or 10% faster then the level 25% mount.

What distinguishes this game are the newest things they've added that are brand new(unless you've played star wars galaxies, in which they're only partially new).

Like the ability to travel between 10-20 different worlds, each very big, though often if you don't have a quest line there you won't have a reason to stray from 3 or 4 different worlds.

Also, the game is fully voiced. I will warn you right here, if you care about story you will find it hard to play non-voiceover games after you play this one. Every character shows emotion in both their voice and action that fits with their persona. It makes the games story very enriching, and yes, this game does have a story. Every class(there are 8 total) has it's own story. Though they are prolonged and can drag a bit since your often sent to a planet for the same reason as the last, once you get there the story is always different and exciting.

Throughout the entire story, you have a companion. You actually get a few, though you can only use one at a time, when your not using the other few you can send them on missions. All of them are different and have different strengths, like maybe one is a tank, while another is a healer and another can dps. This adds to the excitement of the game.

Lastly, space combat. Their are quite a few space combat missions you can go on with your upgradable(and class specific) space ship. You will usually focus on using limited rockets and unlimited laser bullets to take down another ship, or escort another ship, or maybe just swerve through a massive Astroid field. The game does make it all fun, the only real glitch with it is that their are only 2 or 3 fun battles per 10 levels(you can replay them, but after you upgrade your ship past them it's not much for fun or experience) and that you have to follow a set path. You can move your ship around the screen but you can't move the screen so it can be awkward.

All in all, this is a very good game. If your the type for PvE, raids or solo, this game is the best on the market. If you're more into pvp, this game is good, made better by the fact that everyone is a noob, but still needs a lot of work.
