X-Wing. It's incredibly fun. You get to fly various classes of Rebel star-fighters, like Y-Wings, A-Wings, and of course, X-Wings. You'll pit your skills against tie-fighters, tie-bombers, gun ships, and even Star Destroyers.

The graphics were great, with lots of music and authentic sound effects. The controls, although plentiful at the time, were smooth and accurate. I believe the original idea was to make it close to a simulation, and although you do get into the role of a rebel pilot, there's no shortage of fast paced action! The battles themselves are exciting, and engrossing. The missions are challenging, and there's plenty of campaigns to play though.

The Star Wars license was put to great use here, and is still fun to play today. A definite gem from the Lucas Arts gaming line-up.
