I saw someone playing this game at Gamestop. Since I had it preordered, I wanted to test drive it before I put my hard earn cash down on a copy. I asked the guy if could give it a try. The controls weren't too bad once you got a feel for it. The game was just slow and boring however. The periscope section for fun for 30secs, but not much else. Fighting the bosses was just tedious. I thought there was going to be more strategy and a lot more action and quick decision making. This is just like a arcade side scrolling game, but using the touch screen for controls instead of a d-pad or analog stick. The game is not work $40 and I could see this being released on XBL or PSN for $8. Don't waste your money. Get Ridge Racer, Pilotwings Resort & SSF IV. Then wait for Kid Icarus, Zelda and StarFox.

Wish there'd been reviews before I pre-ordered this game, the 3D feels like a bolt on (its just the backgrounds) and the only thing that's even mildly fun is the periscope missions, but those are really just bonus rounds... Read Full Review
