will change the way fighting games are played
Much like the arcade version brought in quarters by the canyonfull, the SNES version was the beginning of the end for the good old days of joysticks and quarters. I, myself was so anxious to get this game that I ordered the Super Famicom version from a game importer. Me and a buddy of mine went through the same company. The game cost us each a whopping 99.99, but we got it in june compared to everyone else who had to wait till the end of august. It was worth it!!!!!!!
when I first popped the game in I was shocked at how well it ported to the SNES. I was expecting to lose something in the translation you know, either by cutting one of the bosses or losing some backgrounds. Nope, it was all there in all its glory, to my amazement. All I knew was that I had spent my last quarter at the arcade. It was funny seeing people that I knew, that had never owned a home console in thier lives, now flocking to the stores to get a SNES. Most of those people went on to upgrade to new home systems and still play to this day. Many props to capcom, a true innovator in the biz, whether its the SF2s of yesterday or the Resident Evil 4s of today, they have always helped lead the way.
