When i first played Street Fighter on the ps1 i thought is was brilliant fun. I got a psp recently, it came with 3 games, one of which was Street Fighter Alpha. First of all i wondered why the series is still going, the games all look the same each time. However i played it without predjudice and i was blown back, not because it had stunning gameplay that was fun, no! Quite the opposite. It was abismal. It was worse than the version i played on the ps1.
First of all the controls were rediculous and needlessly difficult, it was more of a puzzle game than a fighter. The 'world tour' mode was so hard it took me hours to reach stage 3. The gameplay was utterly boring too.
For people who actually like the series then atleasst the game doesn't disappoint. Theres tonnes of modes and characters and fighting styles to choose from. Good sound effects and the same old graphics do work well for this game suprisingly but it still isn't my cup of tea.
I am glad to say that it will sell on ebay for a good price :)
