This all in one package makes for one of the best nostalgic Street Fighter experiences ever.
Gameplay: The gameplay is pretty fluid and very responsive with the PS2 controller and plays great I use the Dpad but you can also use the Joystick, but be warned I played this game so much I had a huge blister on my left thumb for about 2 weeks. Once you practice enough you'll be landing combos in no time.
Street Fighter 2 I must say has aged well and is a true classic to go down in the books, it may have some dated graphics but its adds to the classic arcade nostalgic feel and is great, Third Strike on the other hand has some of the best graphics of any 2D fighting game I have ever seen, with fully animated characters wobbling their limbs and bouncing up an down ready to throw a fist, and some of our favorite classic fighters like Ken, Ryu and Chun Li return to show of their moves with an upgraded feel, with lots of other new additions to the fighting roster.
The audio in Street Fighter 2 has some pretty old music which might sound a little cheesy, but once again adds to the classic arcade feel. Third Strike has a great hip hop soundtrack that suits the combat and environments of every stage, and even the menus.
If you call yourself a fighting game enthusiast then you will definitely find somehting to love in this package, and if you're new to this series you should as well giving you the critically acclaimed Street Fighter 2 that has already warranted itself a place in the history books, and the awesome Street Fighter 3. This really does have some of the best value of any fighter along with Alpha Anthology. And as a bonus you get the Street Fighter Animated Movie, it's Street Fighter + anime, what's not to love?
I have nothing but great things to say about this game. It gives great replay value if you have friends that come over to play. I always watch the Animated Movie its just to awesome. My experience with this game has been the best I have ever had with a fighting game. This is definitely one that should be in every fighting enthusiast's collection.
