This is a really great arcade game from my childhood. I have spent many hours in the arcade battling for bragging rights on this game, and it was a fun trip down memory lane as soon as I started playing it on my 360. The game is almost perfectly intact, although they have increased the speed from the original arcade version, it still plays almost exactly the same. That being said they really messed up with the online modes, and the overall feeling I was left with was hurt considerably by this fact (it was the main reason I got so excited about this release in the first place). It is still a worthwhile download for those of us who used to love this game, but it really should have been done better.
GOOD: Great, classic, gameplay remains intact. Animation and graphics are suprisingly impressive. Possibly the best Street Fighter ever released, solid selection of the original characters and the first wave of boss character updates, making for a very well rounded collection of fighters. Fun playing against others online, but...
BAD: ...Lag online, and poorly set up and presented online modes, you can't even watch people fighting while in quarter mode (winner stays on, arcade style). No way to adjust the speed, and it's faster than the arcade default. The controls don't hold a candle to the arcade original.
