Street Fighter II Turbo was the very first game I bought for SNES. Back then there used to be a lot Arcade conversion MK, Turtle in Time, SF II, T2 Arcade Game, and a long list of etc. But most of them weren't perfect, everyone has a missing detail. According to the "experts" the very first game that was a perfect conversion of an Arcade game was Super Street Fighter II, and I agree that. However before it there were two nearly perfect game too MK II and this that I'm reviewing (for those who are really slow SF II Turbo). Street Fighter II was the game that has been up-graded more times that I remember. SF II Turbo is a version in middle of the original and the last (Super Street Fighter II Turbo). The translation to SNES was perfect except for some missing details of the stages and the map (this game was reviewed with 5 stars by a magazine I used to read), beside that everything was identical to its Arcade version. Gameplay 10/10 Perfect! As good or even better than the Arcade. The control was perfect, that's the only thing I can say. In some cases it's EASIER to perform some combos with the D-pad than with the joystick . Mmmm... I don't know what more I can say, so I'll skip to the next part. Graphic 8/10 In my opinion Graphic is what less importance has in a game (most of the cases). This game graphics are gorgeous, the characters' animation was impressive. Except for few details in the stage and map (Hm? Deja vu), everything is perfect. The animations are smooth even in the slowest mode and the fastest mode (10 stars). In few words almost perfect. Sound 10/10 Perfect sound better that the Arcade, well may be because noise in Arcades. The voices and screams are goods, the music fix perfectly with the action, specially Guile's, Ryu's, Ken's and Barlog's (AKA Mike Bison in *** ver) stages. Replay value 10/10 An ending by character, 12 in total. Plus according to your difficult setting and your performer there's more thing to see. It takes some time to beat the game with difficulty 8 and without lossing a round with any character. Actually I just beat the games in that way with Ryu, Ken and Sagat and I have the games for more than 10 years. In two players mode there's no limit; my friends and I spent many and many hours in the game in a day. In any way perfect or not it's a great game that worth what it worth. If anyone want to get this game get it. For those who are SF fans this can't be missing in your collection.
After years of not playing this classic I decided to go back and have a crack at what has to be the one beat-em-up that I played more than any other growing up, and when I say more than any other I do mean that, I played... Read Full Review
I used to not like this game very much when I was younger because I would always be getting my butt kicked constantly by the unbelievably smart computer controlled opponents who could always pull off moves better than I ... Read Full Review
