nostalgia meets 2009

User Rating: 8.5 | Street Fighter IV (Collector's Edition) PS3
Great: The overall presentation of the game is really good, lots of color, character art, great sounds just a really good street fighter esque feeling in the presentation. Really great unlockables and lots of things to do when competing against another player or playing arcade mode gets a little repetative, time attack, survival, and trail modes have been added. The difficulty to these modes vary between normal and hard, and just keep you coming for more of a challenge each time. character models and graphics for the game are really good, muscles on characters, facial expressions, flashy moves and lots of other great visuals keep this game looking really good. Aside from the visuals the games sound is really good aswell, you can change the voiceovers of all or certain characters to either english or japanese, its a very good thing to have in a SF game especially when some players might find the english or japanese voiceovers to not sound very good. online play is very easy to use and you can also unlock badges (or whatever they are called sorry i dont know) that are rewards for performing certain online tasks such as, defeating a player online with an ultra combo finish, defeating a player with a perfect etc. speaking of ultra combos, SF4 also has an ultra meter, which increases the more your character takes damage. new characters have been added, with a roster of over 20 fighters, lots of unlockables and different modes to play, this game has lots of replay value.

good: the difficulty is just right and never gets too hard for the most part although some of the harder modes may be a bit too easy to veterans of SF. good stages , took alot of work by capcom to make the backrounds along with the good backround music although not being able to listen to the backround music in the options menu may be a let down for some. good character specific dialogue, and rival specific dialogue. gameplay movies and character art can be viewed anytime AFTER unlocking them. character move sets stay true to their sf2,sfa, and even some of their sf3 predecessors. although it wouldve been nice to have some characters from sf3 make an appearance, the new characters wont dissapoint.

bad: the games main boss is extremely cheap, he'll often use the same combos or even grab you from far away just because hes a boss. while on the ground he'll often teleport around you to confuse your character, this may seem to be nothing to the naked eye but what he is doing is preventing you from using a wake up special, which is pretty cheap. he is very overpowered and uses cheap tactics to defeat you, there is no denying that this boss is cheap. no parry system.

garbage: "i can feel it coming over me"........... the games main theme is too repetitive and can really get downright annoying at times
