Thsi game is just okay. Not bad, and not great, just okay.

Street Hoops is just an okay game. GameSpot gave it 4/10? That's too low for me. It had some good things in it: i.e. the soundtrack! It was one of the best in a sports game, with Xzibit, Master P... and so on. That part of sound was done right, but the sound effects are wierd. I hear a laser sound whenever I scored; it got annoying. Big Boy and that other one's VO was funny... until a 20+ lead came. After every bucket: "This is a blowout!!!"

The actual gameplay felt half-done. The shooting was decent, but on defense? You will get pissed off your mind just trying to rebound or block and when you try to steal, you'll dive at the loose ball really fast, and not very far. The character designs are blurred and you'll mostly have to look at your guy tag to see who you're controllong.

But a good thing is you can gamble on anything in a game: lead at half, most boards, most assists, dunks, steals, blocks, etc. People like to gamble, and this could be practice. If you can stand poor defense, so-so graphics, and repetitive VO, then get this game. If not, get an NBA game... even though they don't look so good right now eithrer.
