Simple and fun.

Here I am writing almost ten years since getting it (got it in '99). Honestly I was so surprised to find the review for this game poor. I've played worse games before and with that, I know for sure that this is far from 'poor'.

I'm no skater in real life, but this game is just fun. Sure the tricks and combos are simplistic. The characters too don't have much variety since they 'share' similar and different traits. Regardless, it is a fun, fun game.

The controls are far from what anyone's used to from Tony Hawk Pro Skater games but once you get the hang of it, it's a skate in a park.

The main downside for me on this game would be the fact that you can not simultaneously have 2 players in one game. But this can be easily ignored as you play the game more.

And yes like everyone else, the soundtrack is a personal highlight. The selected metal punk rock songs fits so well with the skate tracks you go through. Brings back much of my childhood then when this genre of music was at a fair level of recognition in the 90's music industry.

Those who owns their copy pretty much owns the soundtrack already, as you can easily play the CD on any Disc man (even if it's poorly mastered ...).

I think I speak for all who agrees that this game was something in everyone's hearts back then as kids.
