Best of the rest
A similar setup to other games, you choose a player with different abilities and start. Walking the bad streets of the city, you soon get picked on for a fight; I don't remember there being any innocent by-standers, so all people were enemies and up for a fight. The great thing about this game is you could play as 2-player co-operative.
The game had a destrucable environment, ie telephone boxes would smash etc. The mayhem was great, I'd often choose to be the guy with the blue jeans. You were able to pick up different weapons - the drain/lead pipe was a heavy hard-hitting weapon - cool.
Gameplay was like all the other games, yet this seemed easy to navigate.
The backdrops were nicely rendered and very colourful and bright; not too serious.
There were the typical big boss situations once past the usual grunts. A simple strategy often availed and meant you could press on.
There were many levels to keep you going for a while. The game was very repetative and could become boring. Hence you had to own a game collection and not just rely on one good game.
