Stretch Panic is essentially a nice little demo and that's about it.
Stretch Panic is really not much different. However, the evil scarf you use is an interesting little mechanic, but the game is such a cakewalk. The game, in the end, basically sets out to introduce this mechanic then gives you a short, pretty blah game wrapped around it.
Okay, if you do want to pick this game up, read the instruction manual. It will save you a lot of pain, and hopefully keep you from wanting to flip the game off after five minutes of head-scratching "what's up with these women with giant boobies" gameplay. Basically, you have a scarf that likes to pinch and pull and release things. Enemies have specific weak points that will both kill them faster and gain you points. That or you can pull at these women's breasts an odd 15-20 times before they explode. Believe me, it's not as fun as it sounds.
But the game in general is mostly a fun ride. It's just too bad there's so little of it to go around. Basically, you have around 10 boss battles and four "point-grind" levels. The points gained in these four levels are used to open doors to fight bosses and also use the almighty five-point-taking "exorcism." Basically, it's the best attack and if you do it three times or maybe more, the bosses are dead, just like that. The thing is, the only limit to how many exorcisms you can do is how many points you have. Stock up on points and this game won't even pose the slightest challenge.
The game took me about an hour and a half to beat, but I'm sure many people could get through it in less than an hour easily. The graphics are pretty good for an early PS2 game, the music and sound are good, and the grab, pinch, flip, fly, etc mechanic is intuitive. However, there are no real "levels" to run through. Just ways to stock up points and bosses to beat. In the end, even with a strange little bestiary option, Stretch Panic feels like little more than a nice little demo.
