Zombie on Zombie action for the ages!
Its story.... well.... its kinda confusing but not to ruin anything or to confuse you your a zombie and you see a woman, want her and try to follow her to let her know you want her (well you don't really speak though). This takes you through tons of levels where you kill everything just to get to her. Think of it as Halo....but you are a zombie that kill humans and make THEM zombies to kill MORE humans....etc.
The gameplay is pretty simple but yet complicated at the same time. Now first of this game is MEANT to be comedic so everything you do is funny as heck. So don't take this game seriously.
You go through a level and kill people either by beating them to death, ripping off limbs, biting into their head, pulling out guts...etc. Yes its bloody. Then, they become zombies and you can have them (control them) do what you want. Be shields, be attacker...etc. You can just have them wonder around too. You can even rip off your hand and walk it around (yes in its own camera mode) and jump on people and take them over (like psychic power). Like if your hand jumped on a cop you can shoot guys until they kill the cop then your hand returns to you. Be sure to eat more brains to keep up your ability to use these things like your throw able hand.
You can also later throw one of your organs (I think your heart?) as a grenade. Don't worry it grows back instantly. And even later you can bowl with your head like a bomb and detonate it! Cool huh?
So when your not killing humans they have so really awesome dance offs. You heard right and its to music you all know. Since the game is based in the 50's its songs from that era but done with by modern day bands so its old but cool sounding! These are easy to hard depending on good you are memory and button mashing.
The graphics of the game actually aren't that bad for a Xbox game, maybe thats because I played it on my 360 so it looked a little better or something. Of course it doesn't hurt that its the Halo engine which you can tell right away. However though at times you tend to get lost because, like Halo, the environments are to big and you don't know where to go. But hey it gives you more to explore!
The controls are easy to get use to once you know what they do.
The sound and music rocks. Some of the best. The music as I said especially in the dance offs is actually bands redoing old music and the rest of the music keeps you happy and "in the moment". And I don't think I have ever heard so many zombie sounds or "fright" sounds in a zombie game! I really hope they make another Stubbs game!
If I recall you can have COOP which is fun and usefull in some levels.
Overall this is game to buy, more so now since its probably dirt cheap. Theres no real downside besides it probably isn't playable over to many times and it is a little short. Other then that its one of the best games for Xbox (or 360).
