This is not a good game. It's not a BAD game; a game that is riddled with fatal flaws and terrible gameplay, and if this game came out 3-5 years ago, it would have been fantastic. However, RPG's have moved on and running down a straight path, kicking barrels doesn't cut it. When you talk to a character as Tal (young knight), then again as Ailish (princess), and the dialogue is identical... something's wrong. Some people say the linear nature of the game is not so bad, and I agree to a point. A linear RPG is not a BAD RPG... but whereas many RPG's of that type fill the environments with elements that draw you into the story (story? sudeki? haha) and make you feel like it's a real expeierience. Games like Summoner, KoTOR, Xenosaga, Dark Cloud, and dozens of others blow Sudeki out of the water. In fact, while I played Sudeki I kept thinking it was a LOT like an old fashioned Nintendo 64 RPG with updated graphics and a new battle system. The bottom line is that while this game is not BAD, not offensively boring or difficult, or easy... it offers nothing. It is not worth the time it takes (not much time I might add) to play because that time is better served playing any of a dozen OTHER MODERN RPG's, or replaying a classic.
I kinda liked Sudeki, but I was also frustrated with it too. The combat was shallow, the worst parts of action rpgs and the worst parts of First Person shooters. I never felt comfortable with using either hack and slash... Read Full Review
