suikoden is a pretty good rpg that is a little different than other rpg,s for one thing the game tries to seem open ended by alowing yyou to do pretty much whatever yu want to. If you dont want to join someone dont do it, if you want to make her the fire bringer make her but the game does also does try to please some of us un-opinionated people by heavily suggesting what you are supposed to do. The game also has some side stories for the people that like to beat the heck out of a game until there is nothing left. the game i good and encourages you to upgrade and characterize your people more freely than some other RPG games. also (from my perspective) your people seem to rely on alot more majic and special abilities than other games. there is alot of customization and gameplay on the disk and any RPG fan will love it, and as for the rest of yu out there i suggest renting it and deciding what yu think about it.
