For some reason that is beyond me all the reviews for this game arent great... though the only grounds for the low scores this game was given is that the ship travel is a pain. Ok ill give them that, the ship travel is a pain. Though, it isnt anything that the average game shouldnt be able to master in a short amount of time. One of the only Pirate/highseas adventure RPG's ive even played. A typically great cast of characters, and though the game can be beaten rather quickly, if u want to get all of the rare items,unlock all 108 characters, not to mention there is a new game + in there, suddenly it becomes a much grander RPG. Once this one sucks you in it will have u up until all hours in the morning. Sadly Bethany Mcmillan (Gamespot reviewer extroidinare) gave this game a sub-par rating and many RPG fans will miss out on a great game... This chick has to be fired gamespotters, she gave Star Ocean a bad review too. Bottom line Suikoden 4 is a good if not great RPG. If u are a fan of the series run out and get it, if your a hardcore RPG gamer run out and get it as well.
