I liked the story and characters. The graphics seemed poorer that Suikoden 3, but I like that we got back control of all our characters in combat and that we had the ability to scroll our vision around in walking/standing mode. While I liked the idea of having our own ship, it didn't seem to sail as well or function as well as I would have expected. The game had a ship combat portion of the game, but it wasn't implemented as well as could have been compared to other games that came our recently like sid pirates. While random combats have always been a part of the series, the frequency of them in this incarnation was darn annoying.
