I have seen the light

User Rating: 8.9 | Suikoden V PS2
I found Suikoden V to be the most enjoyable game in the series out of the past three. Sure, they all hold many similiarities, but I think going back to six people per fight is a nice change. Suikoden V refines the elements of the previous games. In fact, my only issue is the size of your base. Only after it expands does it become a little difficult, but honestly, it's not that bad.

I think special kudos has to go to the story. I had a few complaints about the previous two games's storylines, but this one the storyline was brilliantly written. I don't think that I knew what was going to happen through the entire game.

The graphics for Suikoden V were wonderful. I admit that it wasn't as jaw-dropping as the next generation of consoles, but the style is wonderful. The character models aren't highly detailed on the map, but the artists used significant details. Furthermore, the character portraits were wonderfully detailed. The fmvs were also awesome.

I definitely recommend picking up this game. It's very fun to play through and I know that I am going to play through it again at least once.
